How to split stitches into 4 sections
Currently this pattern is undergoing testing. It will be released at a later date.
STEP 2 – How to split stitches into 4 sections. This is the 2nd step in knitting the Simple Raglan Sweater. You will divide the collar stitches into 4 sections: back, left sleeve, front and right sleeve. In order to keep track of these sections, you will add markers between them. Once you have divided these stitches, you can begin working on the yoke of the sweater.
When knitting a raglan top down sweater, you will be knitting the sleeve stitches and the front and back stitches at the same time at the start. The sweater will be knit in the round from the top. You will need to increase stitches for the yoke of the sweater. The increases will happen on all 4 sections at the same time.
In order to keep track of your sections, it is required to place markers between these sections. The yoke of the sweater is written using these markers. Once you have placed these markers, you are ready to start knitting the yoke of the sweater.
