This is a knitting pattern for Lily’s Comfort Hat. The dress that is shown with the hat in the pictures is Lily’s Comfort Dress.
This hat pattern was designed to match the child version – Little Miss Kira’s Hat.
This hat is a great introduction to lace. It is knit from the bottom up in the rounds. Therefore, it is completely seamless! It features the stockinette stitch with two lace patterns. A fun, easy, rewarding knit!
This hat comes in 4 adult sizes. Allow approximately 3″ for stretch:
X-small- 18.5″ x 8″ (47 cm x 20.3 cm)
Small – 19.5″ x 81/4″(49.5 cm x 21 cm)
Medium – 20″ x 8 3/4″ (50.8 cm x 22.2 cm)
Large – 21″ x 9″(53.3 cm x 22.9 cm)
This hat was designed with Aran weight yarn. The yarn depicted in the picture is Caron Simply Soft. However, any aran weight yarn will work.
Amount of yarn required: 125 (140, 155, 170) yards
Needles: 5 mm [8 US] circular hat needles
4 x 5 mm [8 US] dpns
You will also need: Tapestry needle, ruler and a EOR marker
Gauge: 18 stitches x 24 rows – 4″ x 4″ in stockinette stitch.
