Sometimes in knitting, you will come across some tricky cable stitches. The 1/3/1 LC cable stitch is a knit cable that is used in the Mystery Knit Afghan 2024. It makes for an amazing cable stitch, but it can be tricky to knit. I have created a video tutorial that illustrates how to work this stitch in three different methods:
- With 2 cable needles
- With 1 cable needle
- Without a cable needle.
I created a tutorial on how to work the 1/3/1 LC cable stitch for all of the above methods. You can choose which method works the best for you. The easiest method to learn would be the 2 cable needles method. However, this can slow your knitting down. Using 1 cable needle will be a little tricker, but a bit quicker. The last method, without a cable needle, would be the trickiest, but if would for sure be the quickest way to knit this cable stitch once you master the method.
I prefer to use the method without a cable needle, but I usually do not use cable needles when working cables. However, find the method that works the best for you!
I have also broken down the video into each separate method for ease of watching.
