These fingerless mittens feature the moss stitch. A simple and classic set of fingerless mitts!
These mittens comes in 5 sizes:
Toddler: 4.5”(11.5 cm) x 5.5”(14 cm)
Child: 5.5”(14 cm) x 6.5”(16.5 cm)
Adult S: 6.5”(16.5 cm) x 7”(17.5 cm)
Adult M: 7”(17.5 cm) x 7.5”(19 cm)
Adult L: 7.5”(19 cm) x 8.5”(22 cm)
These mittens are knit from the top down, in the round with dpns or long circular needle.
Amount of yarn required:
40 (60, 80, 100, 120) yards
36 (55, 70, 90, 110) meters
Gauge:
18 stitches x 24 rows = 4″ x 4″ (10 cm x 10 cm) in stockinette stitch.
Yarn:
This pattern was designed with Rowan Superwash pure worsted weight wool. Any worsted/aran yarn will work.
Needles:
4 x 5 mm (8 US) dpns
Also need:
2 markers, stitch holder, tapestry needle
