2. WHY CHOOSE SEAMLESS KNITS?
1. SEAMLESS
Why seamless? I love a seamless knit. Once I discovered seamless knits, I was completely hooked. A seamless knit is a joy to knit.
Here are my reasons why:
- Time saver
- No sewing involved
- Less yarn ends to hide
- Finished look is much neater
- Knitting in the round with circular needles

2. UNIQUE/MODERN
I love to knit something unique and modern at the same time. It is fun to wear knits that are in style. We are not buying sweaters from the store. We are creating them with our very own needles. Isn’t it great to knit a sweater that is one of a kind? Choose wisely, and find a design that is different from others. If you gift out this pattern, the recipient will be happy to have something so unique!
3. EASY TO FOLLOW
Look for a pattern that has clear instructions. Have you ever had a pattern that was hard to decipher? Does it make you frustrated? Knitting is supposed to be relaxing. Knitting can take a lot of time and it can be frustrating to have to frog something because the instructions were not clear enough. If you haven’t knit from a designer before, look for feedback on the patterns. Other knitters will let you know how they like the designer’s patterns! Many times the designer will categorize the skill level the pattern requires. Make sure your skill level is high enough for the pattern.

4. CHARTED/WRITTEN
This varies from knitter to knitter. Some knitters love to knit from charts, where others love to knit from written instructions. I like to use a bit of both. This is completely preference. I enjoy having the cable portion of the pattern charted, but I also enjoy having written instructions. This way I can cross reference and leave less of a chance for a mistake.
5. GRABS YOUR ATTENTION
If you want to finish a knit in good time, choose a pattern that you are interested in. Especially if it is a larger knit. Knitting takes a lot of time and if you become bored with the pattern, it will be hard to finish. Guaranteed. You want a pattern that you or the recipient will love. Don’t waste time on a knit that does not interest you. We knitters, have so little time and so many knits we want to finish. In reality, we get such a small percentage of what we want to knit finished. Choose wisely and remember knitting is a joy. Every pattern you choose should be a joy to knit!

6. NUMEROUS SIZES
It is not easy to modify a pattern to a larger size or smaller size. Who wants to only knit one size? It is great to have a variety of sizes. Maybe even child to adult. As you perfect the pattern you get faster and faster, with multiple sizes you can knit the same pattern for multiple people! Look for patterns that come in numerous sizes.
Which of the above key attributes do you think is the most important? Comment and let me know what you look for when choosing a pattern!
